Even at an early age David Klaus Mayer showed a unique capacity and language in the Visual Arts. Before he was tall enough to get on the rides at Canada's Wonder Land he was Drawing and Painting on a regular basis. So much so that he was placed in Private art schools to hone in on his approach by the appropriate thinking and necessary training in the craft.
Though David Klaus Mayer has been trained in a fine arts approach he works as an illustrator because of its contemporary relevance. His work is a journey through Classical approaches by contemporary means.
Giving his creative voice a distinct vibrant manifestation that is sure to please. He has searched and grown into this style in hopes that you the viewer can experience work that is new and original.
David Klaus Mayer is a graduate of Sheridan’s Interpretive Illustration program. He is an Art Teacher and also is currently working on a solo show. David Klaus Mayer walks the fine line of teaching which takes a certain amount of conviction and still finds the time and energy to produce great work of his own. Fine Artist, Illustrator, Teacher are just a few of the hats David Klaus Mayer wears.
